Gemma & Adrian’s Port Vale Wedding – A Day to Remember

We were so excited for Gemma and Adrian’s wedding day — and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Held at Port Vale Football Club, this was a venue first for us, and we’re already hoping it won’t be the last. The staff were phenomenal, going above and beyond to take care of everyone, including us. We were even given our own box (yes, really!) and treated to some incredible food — a real standout touch.
We first met Gemma and Adrian about a year and a half ago at a wedding open day, and we instantly clicked. They’re the kind of people you feel comfortable with right away — laid-back, thoughtful, and totally devoted to their friends and family. Spending the day with them was like photographing old friends.
The morning started off very relaxed, with a calm atmosphere as everyone got ready… until, in true wedding-morning fashion, things took a sudden twist — the dog escaped! Cue a mini adventure through the village and a few worried bridesmaids. Thankfully, a lovely local found him and brought him safely back home, just in time. Drama over, and smiles all round again!
The ceremony was held at the stadium and was beautifully decorated by Charlotte and the team at It’s All About Me Me Me Me (they did such a fantastic job). The ceremony itself was conducted by Staffordshire Council, and a particularly emotional highlight came when Gemma’s two daughters, Eloise and Matilda, read a heartfelt poem. It was such a touching moment and one that really captured the family’s bond.
We were blessed with perfect summer weather, so we headed pitch-side for group photos — the unique backdrop of the football stadium made for some really striking shots and gave the day such a personal twist, especially for any football fans in attendance!
Before we knew it, the evening guests began arriving, the party picked up pace, and the celebrations rolled on into the night. Oh, and did we mention a couple of cheeky ducks somehow managed to get into the drinks? They definitely added to the memories — and the laughter!
Gemma and Adrian, thank you for letting us be part of your day. It was full of love, laughter, and a few surprises — the perfect wedding combination. Your warmth and connection shine through in everything you do, and it was an honour to capture it all.
Here’s to many more happy adventures together (with dogs, ducks, and all)! 🖤
