Liz & Adrian’s Wedding at The Lion & Swan, Congleton

Liz and Adrian’s wedding at The Lion & Swan, Pecks in Congleton was such a wonderful way to begin my wedding season this year. Not only was it the first wedding of the year for Helen Cotton Photography, but it was also my first time photographing at this lovely venue — and I’m already looking forward to returning.

Their day was beautifully simple, relaxed and full of genuine love. Liz and Adrian chose to focus their celebration on what truly mattered most to them: their ceremony and spending quality time with family and friends. It was clear from the moment the day began just how much warmth and affection they share. The kind of love that grows from years of knowing, supporting and caring for each other.

The ceremony itself was full of heartfelt moments, with their closest family and friends gathered around them to witness such an important chapter of their story. These are always my favourite kinds of weddings to photograph — natural, emotional and centred around the people who matter most. The wonderful team at Your Ceremony - Cheshire East - conducted a warm and relaxed ceremony.

The venue looked absolutely beautiful for the occasion. The Lion & Swan at Pecks in Congleton has such a welcoming and characterful atmosphere, making it a perfect setting for an intimate wedding celebration. The room was decorated wonderfully and created a warm, elegant space for the ceremony and celebrations that followed.

A special mention also goes to Liam and the team, who did a fantastic job of looking after everyone throughout the day. Their attention to detail and friendly approach helped create such a relaxed atmosphere for Liz and Adrian and all of their guests.

It was an absolute pleasure to capture these memories for them — from the emotion of the ceremony to the laughter shared with family and friends afterwards.

Congratulations again Liz and Adrian, and thank you for trusting me to photograph such a special day. I’m so glad this beautiful celebration was the first wedding of my year, and I’m already looking forward to the next time I return to The Lion & Swan, Congleton.
