A beautiful summer evening wedding at Keele Hall, Staffordshire, captured by Helen Cotton Photography.
There’s something particularly special about a twilight wedding, and Josh & Jordan’s wedding at Keele Hall was a perfect example of why.
On Monday 3rd August, Josh & Jordan tied the knot at the beautiful Staffordshire wedding venue, with their ceremony taking place at 4pm. Their later ceremony gave the day a wonderfully relaxed feel and, as their photographer, it also gave me the opportunity to make the most of the beautiful evening light around Keele Hall and its grounds.
This is a preview of their wedding photographs, with plenty more still to come as we continue working through their full gallery.

A beautiful ceremony at Keele Hall
Josh & Jordan's wedding ceremony was conducted with the help of their celebrant and the Staffordshire Registrars, bringing everyone together for such an important part of their day.
With the ceremony taking place at 4pm, there was no need to rush through the afternoon. Instead, the day naturally flowed into the evening, giving Josh & Jordan plenty of time to enjoy their celebrations with their guests.
One of the things we particularly love about photographing weddings at Keele Hall is the variety the venue offers. From the beautiful interiors and historic architecture to the extensive grounds, there are so many opportunities to create a varied wedding gallery without having to travel anywhere else.

Evening photographs around Keele Hall
After the ceremony, we were able to head outside and make the most of the evening.
The grounds at Keele Hall are particularly beautiful later in the day, and the lake provides one of our favourite locations for photographs.
For couples who are considering a twilight wedding at Keele Hall, this is something worth thinking about. A later ceremony can still give you plenty of opportunities for photographs, particularly during the longer summer evenings.
It also means that your couple photographs can feel completely different from those taken in the middle of the day. The softer evening light creates a beautiful atmosphere while giving us the opportunity to capture some quieter moments away from the celebrations.

A twilight wedding at Keele Hall
Twilight weddings can be a fantastic option for couples who don't necessarily want a traditional all-day wedding.
A 4pm ceremony can mean:
A relaxed start to the day
Less time spent waiting around
A beautiful evening celebration
The opportunity for evening portraits
Gorgeous light around the grounds
More time to enjoy your guests
And, of course, there is still plenty of opportunity for natural, candid photography throughout the day.
For Josh & Jordan, their later ceremony worked beautifully and allowed me to capture some lovely photographs around the grounds and down by the lake.

More photographs to come...
These photographs are just a preview from Josh & Jordan's wedding, and I still have plenty of images to work through before their full gallery is complete.
We can't wait to see the whole story come together and to share more of their beautiful day.
Josh & Jordan, thank you for asking me, Helen Cotton Photography to capture your wedding day. It was a pleasure to be part of your celebrations, and we hope you love these first few photographs as much as we do. 🤍
Helen
