Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do we book Helen & Nick?

First, you need to check if we are available on your date. You can do this online or by phoning. If you like we can arrange a meeting to discuss your wedding requirements. If you are not able to come to us, we can come to you. There is no charge for this consultation. Should you wish to book, just complete a booking form and return it with £100 deposit

  • What are your rates?

Prices start at £900. We deal with each wedding on an individual basis, therefore all options can be customised to meet your needs. You can view a full price list with all options and services from our website.

If it's commercial photography we offer a varied hourly, half day and full day rate depending on the distance needed to travel and any post production needed.

Studio or location portraits start from £120 which includes a disc of images, personal online gallery and offers on further prints required.

  • Are there travel costs?

Travel is included with all options where the wedding is held within Cheshire, Staffordshire & Shropshire borders. We cover weddings throughout UK & abroad.

  • Can I have a USB of my wedding images?

Most of our weddings will be placed onto discs but if you wish to have the images on a USB stick this is something we certainly can provide. They’re your pictures and you can do pretty much as you like with them.

  • Can friends and family view and buy images?

All images are placed onto our website through the shop and if you wish for them to be password protected then please let us know. If you give friends and family the password they can also view your images and buy any images that they’d like.

  • Will we meet with Helen & Nick before the wedding?

Coming up to your wedding day, we will meet to finalize your details. We usually like to do this at the venue so we can go over the various places that we/you would like some of the shots to be taken. This can be done usually around two weeks before the big day at your convenience, so it's fresh in your mind and gives you more comfort and reassurance for the big day. It'll also allow you and Helen to talk through your ideas and answer any questions you may have, ensuring your wedding day runs smoothly.

  • How long will Helen & Nick stay at the wedding?

That’s up to you. Generally from early preparations to the sit down of your meal. If you just want us available from the marriage service - that’s ok. Extra time can be added to cover the first dance if requested. Just let us know your requirements and we'll try to tailor the package around yourselves.

  • How long before we see are pictures after the wedding?

Within 4 weeks, you will receive an email from Helen to arrange the delivery of the images and also a sneak preview will be given on the blog during this time. We can send you out link and a personal password to our online wedding gallery at the same time as posting the images over to you. This will allow you to view all images from the day, as well as selecting those you would like for your album.

  • How does the album design process work?

After you have viewed and picked your images, we personally design the album layout , to ensure that it accurately reflects the events of your special day. This will be proofed with you via email or meetings. Once you're happy with the design, we will deliver your album to you. This process takes a few weeks as the albums are printed in Italy.

  • How many images are in my album?

This depends on the option and album you choose. We recommend that you don’t over fill your wedding album. It’s best to let the images speak for themselves. Keep it simple.

  • Can I customize the package further?

Additional hours, photographers, hand finished prints, thank you cards, and a variety of digital products - these can all be added on an "a la carte" basis as desired.

  • I hate posing for pictures. Do I have to pose?

We know what you mean. We hate posing for pictures too! Posing isn’t natural and we don’t think it looks natural either. Our style is a relaxed approach that allows you both to be together in a comfortable environment, we photograph with a very natural eye & with there being two photographers it's much more easier for you.

  • Do you take traditional wedding photographs?

We do take traditional family pictures in addition to our more lifestyle documentary style. While they may not be as exciting as some of our more informal images,we do appreciate the value and the history behind the traditional family portrait. Since each wedding is unique, we decide, in discussion with you, how much time is spent on traditional groups.

  • Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured. We have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
